Got multiple recruiters contacting me to do a phone screen for the same job, and they didn't even know about each other. Did full round of interviews. Went pretty well. Strangely, I was grateful that the HR rep contacted me to let me know that I didn't get the job, because so often I don't hear anything. To make it strange though the person called me at 5:30pm on a friday to tell me I didn't get the job. I almost said, hey you can't fire me because I don't work there; an email would've been fine. And I didn't get any meaningful feedback.

what are my relationships with brokers and agents?
One of the most unprofessional, combative, and offensive interactions I have had with a company. The first round interview was a polite and successful screening call. I later had an interview with a leader from the Talbots syndicate who was offensive to the point I have considered reporting her. After she asked me to explain my background, she interjected and said, "the problem with you people is you think you're so smart" before sharing a long list of grievances with all the applicants she's met.
About 10min into the call, I politely communicated that I didn't think the role was a fit. Instead of allowing the call to end, the interviewer then went on an incredibly long tirade, stating "you're going to have a hard life", "there are countless people who are smarter than you", "you will never make money", and even asking "if you're so great at your job, why did you apply here? Did you get fired or something".
Immediately after the call, I withdrew from the application process.
At this point, I have not proceeded with a formal complaint against the individual. I am not one to complain or publicize interactions; however, after contemplating the interview, I think the interviewer's decorum was concerning enough to merit sharing online here.
If AIG is placing individuals like this in charge of teams--and as interviewers for candidates--then I really worry about the culture and professionalism within the company.
