First completed a detailed application online. Received a quick response inviting me to a video interview, with a very short deadline to complete (24hrs) otherwise my application would be withdrawn! The video interview is promoted as being a way to show your personality but unless you are in the younger “youtuber” generation, this was just the opposite. The questions replicated those on the application form, so pretty pointless. There was no personality to the questions which are written text, so nothing to bounce off to be able to ‘show your personality’, also no option to pause, or redo your answers. I found it very impersonal, and a lazy method of recruitment. My application was submitted a couple of minutes after the 24 hour deadline so my application was withdrawn.
