I interviewed for a cashier position in hopes that I would be able to advance quickly into management. The interviewer, in this case, the district manager, was friendly and polite. However, the interview quickly went from casual to basically interrogation. I was told that the background check was very thorough and would turn up any lies or falsifications. I was certainly okay with this and assured the DM that I was being very honest. As the interview progressed and the interrogation seemed to stop, we began talking about general personality questions, such as "how do you define leadership" and "how would you delegate an undesirable task to a co-worker?" Next step in the hiring process was background and drug testing (urine and/or hair follicle), followed by a meeting with a regional manager.
