The positive is, your resume (at least on paper) clearly met the job requirements, hence why two different recruiters contacted you on two different occasions. Our internal processes should’ve documented that your compensation requirements are beyond what the role can offer to avoid any misunderstandings. As a candidate, you’re free to set your salary expectations, but as a company, we also can decide what the role is “worth” and set up our compensation strategies based on company affordability and market data.
