I applied for a manager position and was invited to interview for an analyst role. The recruiter missed our initial phone interview and didn't reschedule with me until I called & emailed them. I told them I was seeking career advancement in my next role so they put me through for the supervisor position. I interviewed with a manager & director which was very pleasant, and they both told me that I would be a good fit.
The last step was with the hiring manager. Throughout the entire interview, they made me feel like I had to convince them I was good enough for the role. They told me that the analysts working under the supervisor are in and out of the company like a revolving door because of how "competitive" remote work is. That's pretty unfortunate since employees will stay at an organization if they are happy and feel valued. Seems like there are some other issues in the department.
The hiring manager said they wouldn't waste my time with another interview so I knew they weren't moving forward with me.
