They start you off with a skills test. Review medical and trauma assessments as wells as BVM and CPR. The skills test instructor was amazing, he was really positive from the start which is great because I was personally nervous. Know your medications and the contraindications. All of the skills flowed into each other. After I was told I passed, I was interviewed right after. They started with basic questions about why become an EMT, past experience, and why I wanted to be apart of AMR San Diego. Then he asked 5 medical questions and informed me that I was only able to miss one. Very basic questions like during a trauma scenario how would you open an airway (jaw thrust). At the end I was told I was hired and to wait for a phone call to continue the process of drug testing and orientation which would be around 2 weeks.
