I had a 30-minute phone screening. Lots of red flags all over the place. The interviewer didn’t introduce themselves or their affiliation with the org so I didn’t know until the end of the call that they aren’t actually an employee of the ASSP but a contractor to fill open positions. They couldn’t answer any of my questions about the role, the organizational growth, or the team structure and dynamics. They asked me questions, I gave detailed responses, and then they would meet my answers with silence followed by the next question. There was zero room for actual conversation. It was all super robotic and cold. When I asked if they would let me know either way if they wanted to move forward or not, they responded that they don’t have time for that. Overall, the vibe was very impersonal and a little dismissive. Didn’t give me a great impression of the culture.
