Applied through the company site for a backend position. I received an email with a frontend task to complete, before having any call. I asked via mail some general questions to get an overview of the company/position before proceeding with the task. I got the response that was not the way they wanted to proceed with the interview, and since I replied too late for them (2 days) I got rejected because "I was not motivated enough".
