Was spotted on the streets and invited to an interview. First interview was simply a briefing. The person I interviewed with was very engaging, helpful and organized. He made the job seem exciting and I really appreciated his enthusiasm. Second interview wasn't that great. The interviewer walked in, in his gym clothes and informed me, "oh can we re-schedule to tomorrow?" without any apologies. I thought that was really unprofessional. He then casually asked me if I had any questions. (Their style is real casual) The next day, I went for the interview again. My interviewer didn't have an interview room for me! We did the interview in the storeroom. He had this thick set of questions for me. But the interview was puzzling. He seemed disinterested in what I had to say and whenever he asked me something from his thick set of notes, he busily scribbled down some stuff with no eye contact whatsoever. It was quite off-putting and really discouraged me as an interviewee. So I kept my answers pretty short because I didn't get any feedback from him. Usually interviewers will at least try to look interested. I think overall, A&F has a really laidback culture. I felt like I couldn't fit in. I'm not that laidback. I guess I'm used to the organized culture that most local companies here have so I didn't want to proceed any furthur. If you're a laidback person who is really out-going and loud, then this job is suitable for you.
