CTO is just doing time pass, he is not interested to hire anyone. May be he wants to take 3-4 months to finally hire someone. At the moment CTO is not serious about hiring, just wasting candidates time

The interview process was informal, comfortable, and they just wanted to get to know me and see if I fit into the workplace culture. I met with 4 different team members, including the CEO.

Was contacted to re-enter the interview process. I had a video interview in which I was given a verbal offer only to have them redact it a few days later and say that they went with another candidate.
Hiring process needs to be more professional—don’t give verbal offers to candidates only to reject them later.
Thank you for for the feedback. We are always looking to improve our process to create a better candidate experience. While we would never extend a verbal offer to someone that we did not intend to hire, we can understand how conversations may have given the impression that we were leading up to an offer. We can see how when that offer did not actually come through that it would be disappointing. Unfortunately we often have multiple finalists who we are excited about and have to make difficult decisions. We are sorry if we unintentionally misled you into believing you would be receiving an offer. We will be mindful of this feedback in the future!
