The first interview was very general and just want to get a feel for the person applying for the position, If you have an overall GPA until 3.0 but above 2.5, you have to have a separate interview with the Director of the program to determine if they would waive the GPA requirement for you. After that, they will email you about making a 20-minute lesson plans for something connected to the grade you want to work with. You will run your lesson plan with someone before you head into the school. When you visit the school, you can walk the hallways and talk to some of the students as well as sit in some of the classes. After that, you complete your lesson plan. You are then given about 10 minutes to reflect on the positives and negatives of the lesson plan. Once your reflection is over, you review it with the principal, director of student services and someone from the corporate side. They discuss your lesson plan and do a final interview. I was offered the position on the spot and received my offer lesson as soon as I walked out of the building.

There’s an initial phone call that is first part of the interview, and then you complete the second part of the application where you answer interview questions via video. It’s not live but you record yourself answering the questions within a certain time limit. Afterwards, once you get accepted by the program you get an offer from a school and you do one final interview (supposed to be around 90 minutes with demo lesson, role play, questions about your teaching philosophies/techniques) with the school’s administration.
