ew minutes after the scheduled interview time, HR coordinator informed that they "forgot about me" and directed me into the interview room. After another 10 minutes, 2 interviewers showed up.
Without any introductions, the interview started with both interviewers clearly showing that they haven't looked at my resume, stating that "they have my portfolio in front of them so we can take a look".
Their description of the platform and the business was one sentence summed up in "we deal with a lot of data and dashboards".
I was asked a few generic questions, ex. "show me an A-Z of your design process". My answers were instantly judged as "wrong" and the interviewer pointed out that "she didn't get a single UX answer" from me during the (10 minutes) of the interview, supporting it with claims that "UI is not UX" and "the process should always be the same, no matter the problem". Tone of the conversation was very tense and the discomfort could literally be felt in the air.
