Recruiter went back and forth for several days via email. We had a phone screen, they were going to contact a specific company for which they said I was a great fit and get back to me. They also stated that if this particular company didn't work out, they were confident with my experience they had a host of other opportunities to work with me on. Not only did I not hear anything back about the specific company, I was never contacted at all after a week of initial back and forth. I totally understand if the company and candidate don't end up working out, but the candidate at least deserves an email or quick phone message instead of being totally ghosted.
