Initially, I was called directly by the hiring manager and invited to a very pleasant one-hour discussion. Later on, I was supposed to have four interviews, one of which was focused on my ML experience with another manager. The interview was terrible in terms of both experience and structure; they kept repeating certain questions, didn't diversify the topics, and constantly seemed confused about the concepts I was explaining. We spent 40 minutes out of an hour discussing a single topic. They even argued with me on a specific question that was poorly phrased anyway—which I looked up afterward, and I was right. I was very surprised, especially since I expect certain standards at Adobe, particularly from an engineering manager, who, to be honest, didn't have much practical work experience, but rather a more academic background. The next day, I received a call with feedback stating that I don't even know certain basic AI/ML concepts, which is a severe distortion of reality and far from the truth. However, I was asked if I would be interested in a similar role but without the AI/ML component, and I said no, considering that this is the essential skill I applied for in the first place.
