Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 1 dia. Fui entrevistado pela Adobe (Seattle, WA) em dez. de 2022
Entrevista
Entry level Data engineer position applied online without referral and reached out by an over confident recruiter What made me very frustrated was the recruiter said this position requires external client facing data engineer experience: needs to work in a consulting firm and client facing but also needs to code in python, airflow, AWS. Shocked! If my background does not fit, why reach out. Whoever has that technical or consulting experience would not go to adobe! Total waste of time

Calm and steady, focused on the role and on my career growth. Overall a strong interview experience, appreciated the emphasis on practical scenarios and how candidates think, rather than just technical recall.

Designing an end-to-end solution for a loosely defined problem, with emphasis on assumptions, scalability
I was asked to do a code test and a technical interview was arranged. All good. I stupidly complete the code test before the tech interview (DON'T DO THIS in general but don't do this if you're interviewing here). The technical interview did not go well for various reasons but I was very surprised I wasn't even asked about Spark. Not one question about partitions, join types etc which others had mentioned here on glassdoor. After the technical interview, I hear back that it is a no. I ask for feedback and they say that based on the interview they won't proceed. I say fine- what about feedback on my code test? THEY DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT IT. They ask for you to return the code test within about a week which I did, and they didn't even look at the code. and eventually closed the position due to low budgets
