An absolute mess. I had a technical recruiter reach out to me on LinkedIn asking if I'd be interested in this role, to which I said yes. He said his colleague would be reaching out to me to discuss the role. I never received any job description other than the job title. The recruiter asked me for an updated resume which I sent over. He then stated it didn't have my contact info. It did have my email address, but not my phone number. I leave that off my resume usually to avoid random calls as it has been an issue in the past. I sent him my phone number and he said his colleague would be in touch.
Normally at this point a recruiter would reach out via email to schedule an interview, but this was not the case. I randomly received a call the next morning while I was at a dentist appointment and she asked, "Is this a good time to talk?" I told her no and I was at an appointment. Instead of asking her to email me to set up an appointment later on, I just provided my availability later that day, to which she replied she would call me. I never received a call and when I messaged the original recruiter back about this, he never responded.
Completely unprofessional way to handle recruiting someone. If they end up reading this, take note that not everyone has open availability to take a call at all times, especially when the candidate already has a job, so make the effort to schedule a call and don't just call them with no heads up of when they should expect a call.
