I was supposed to have an interview with the hiring manager and one other. The hiring manager didn't show. The other guy was combative and challenged everything I said. When I said I left my last job because I was not being challenged, he saw that as a bad thing. When I said what I was looking for was a stable position where I could grow into a leadership roll, he said "your not going to get that with a small company" even though he was talking about how they were growing. He kept fixating on how my experience with investment management along with operations was somehow a bad thing that I wouldn't be happy since this was only an operational roll, regardless of how I reassured him. Early the next morning, I got the rejection email. Overall, I don't know why they even wasted my time. It didn't seem like they were even serious about hiring.
