A formula fit interview (30 mins) with an internal recruiter was followed by a skills interview (45 mins) with the hiring manager. Everything seemed to have gone smoothly and I was asked to complete a take-home exam to be handed in 5 calendar days after the second interview which I would have been given the chance to present to a panel. 24 hours after the skills interview, I received an email from the hiring manager declining to proceed with my candidacy with the following disclaimer: **Please do not reply to this email. This email is sent from an unattended mailbox; therefore, replies will not be read.** While the reason for the regret was reasonable and the tone and manner were polite and thoughtful, I found their approach to be lacking integrity since one of Adyen's Formula is “we don’t hide behind email, instead we pick up the phone" which the hiring manager strongly highlighted that they adhere to.
