In the pre-interview with the recruiter, I was clear on what kind of work I was interested in and what my salary parameters were. When I interviewed with him in person, he wasn't able to answer any additional questions about the two roles he sought to fill for his clients and wasn't even sure where one of them was. The interview itself wasn't particularly well-honed and left the impression that he forgot everything we'd discussed prior to meeting in person. In follow-up e-mail, I was never able to get more questions answered and beyond an initial reply indicating he didn't know the answers to anything except the one salary being a hard number. I never heard from him again, even though he told me he felt I was well-qualified to get some work and that he thought I could get more than I was willing to settle for on salary and I sent two follow-up messages.
