The entire interview cycle has been incredibly positive, from the initial phone interview with the recruiter to the final onsite. The recruiting team has been very engaging, taking the time to help prepare me for the onsite interview, and what I should expect.
I had a phone interview with the recruiter, take-home assignment, interview with the hiring manager, and several in-person interviews which included reviewing technical concepts and presenting a mock post-sales integration kick off!
Overall I felt very comfortable and really enjoyed meeting several people from various teams I’d potentially be working with. This was one of the best interview experiences I've had yet–I would highly recommend applying to Affirm!

I received an e-mail to schedule a 30 minute screen with a recruiter. He missed the first scheduled appointment. I had to e-mail him to see if he was free... I was asked to reschedule, he decided to show up. It was painfully obvious that he was reading a script off the screen. He didn't know anything about the role or who it even reported to. I'm sure he was looking for keywords in the conversation. Since I am actively interviewing with both Apple and Amazon for somewhat similar roles, I'm not bothered that I was passed on. The whole experience says a lot more about the company than my candidacy .

Interview process was somewhat lengthy but in large part due to being one of the first going through the process for their new Chicago office.
However, they did a VERY good job at walking me through the process. My HR point of contact was top notch and made sure to always keep me up-to-date on what was going on.
I had 3 phone interviews (one with HR, one with hiring manager and one with a member of the team), followed with one face-to-face with hiring manager in Chicago.
They flew me to San Francisco for a half day on-site where I had to give a mock presentation for a project kick-off, followed with some troubleshooting exercises and on-site interviews.
