got email unsolicited from one of the "managers". they found a resume i posted on a job board. they gave no details other than the job title. called and scheduled interview and arrived on time to find 5 other candidates in the conference room with me. manager gave an hour presentation and collected our resumes and said he would call us that afternoon with a time for 1:1 interview if he was interested in us.
he called me and i went back (30 min trip 1 way) the next day. turns out they make you pay for class, test and license for state insurance sales license.

Literally just an entry level sales position interview. They will ask you the basic sales questions and see if you are able to hold a conversation. Not much else. Hold a conversation, say you are comfortable on the phone and talking to business owners.

Good sales pitch. Good company. Too bad commission only. They should have mentioned this before I applied. Waste of time unfortunately. If they can't be upfront about pay and benefits, it's not worth the effort. I hope not all of their offices practice this.

I did not apply to a job posting but instead received a phone call from a recruiter stating he had seen my resume on ZipRecruiter and thought I could be a potential good candidate for several open positions (Account Executive, Hiring Manager). I came in the next day for an interview, and it was more of a informational interview with a group of about 5-7 people. We were specifically asked to not ask questions during the presentation, which focused primarily on the compensation package and not the roles themselves.
