Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 3 dias. Fui entrevistado pela Aflac (Los Angeles, CA) em abr. de 2014

      Entrevista

The interview process is bull. If you look at the people who walk into the first interview, which is an hour long info session educating me about how wonderful Aflac is, then you will be able to see what type of standards they hold for this position. The email sent prior to this "first interview" clearly states to arrive twenty minutes early and to wear business attire (no jeans), yet when I was sitting in the office waiting for my second interview, two people walked in late and one guy walked in with baggy jeans. Also, some of these people were very old and not exactly ideal to be sales associates for insurance...Anyways, they hand out the second interview like candy but make it seem like some people won't get it with only 3 questions: can you afford to get an insurance license ($270), is there anything in your background (criminal) that could hinder you getting a license, do you have transportation? After only answering these 3 questions, I was handed a second interview. During my second interview, I was very unsatisfied with the professionalism or lack thereof, that there was in my interview. The district manager left my interview 3 times to "take care of something" and texted on his phone twice while I was answering his questions. Now what makes him think I would want to work for someone like this? He asked me questions about my resume for maybe 5-10 minutes and then moved on to talking about what I would do for the job as if he offered it to me already. It seemed like he was trying to sell the job again. Do not even go for this unless you really, truly want to sell insurance. It's all commission based and the same job description for this title is also under other titles for Aflac. So it's the same job, but different names.

O processo levou 2 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Aflac (Los Angeles, CA) em out. de 2017

      Entrevista

It was fine. The first interview was in a small room with other interviewees -- my batch was a diverse group. They asked you to come in with a physical copy of your resume and to answer a full-page of simple questions. It was an hour of company presentation and afterwards, you were paired with a hiring manager to be asked the standard screening questions. I came back to their office to meet another hiring manager the following week where I was asked behavioral questions. I liked the person I interviewed with the second time around -- very thoughtful and warm.

      Entrevista

A representative of the company emailed me saying they had found my resume on Monster.com, that I possessed some of the skills that matched a position they were looking to fill, and asked if I was available to come in for an informational meeting this week. I accepted right away via email asking when specifically they were hoping to schedule and giving my availability for the rest of the week. Within a few hours, I received a call to schedule, but no details about the exact position available. I received a follow up email with address, parking instructions and a confirmation of date and time of my scheduled meeting. The following day, I received another email reminding me of the time and date and expected dress code, etc. Day of the meeting, after reading reviews of former employees on Glassdoor, I decided to call to ascertain the precise nature of the position to ensure it was not a sales job. My call was answered by a receptionist but she assured me that the assistant would call or email me back to give me more details. I did not hear back within 3 hours, so I followed up with an email. I still had not heard anything when I received yet another reminder email. I replied to this message asking if the assistant had received my previous email asking about the job specifics. She outlined the responsibilities thusly: "you will be corresponding with the businesses that we have existing relations to as I stated before. You will be managing and processing their accounts and helping them with any issues that they may come across." However, when I arrived, I was ushered into a room with several other candidates and we were essentially then pitched on why Aflac was a great company and how great our earnings potential was if we SOLD their insurance. Bait and switch! I left before they got to the one-on-one portion of the meeting.
