After applying online, I received an email asking for a phone interview. It probably was a week after my online application when I was notified. The interviewer asked me to go through my resume and basically show how my previous experience would fit this current position. Another question she asked was to give an example of something that I've taken apart just to see how it works! Now I'm thinking why would I take apart something that works perfectly well just because??? She then gave me an assignment! I was told to research the difference between a systems programmer and an application programmer. She gave me about two days to email this information to her. Needless to say I didn't get this job. Maybe it was description of my dissection of my cell phone....maybe it was my lack of clarify in my "assignment." At any rate, it was quite an experience and I could tell the HR person interviewing me hadn't a clue of what I was talking about with reference to technical answers.
