      Entrevista para Strategy Director

      Candidato(a) sigiloso(a) à entrevista
      Milton Keynes, England
      Oferta recusada
      Experiência negativa

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 meses. Fui entrevistado pela Agile (Milton Keynes, England) em set. de 2025

      Entrevista

Messy, unorganised company. I went through a 5-stage, 7-week interview process here, and it was unprofessional and downright scatty. Having told them in the first interview that I was working abroad and wouldn’t be available for a f2f, after 5 interviews and 7 weeks the terribly un-Agile COO decided the final interview had to be f2f. This after only hearing back after the last interview because the recruiter and COO happened to be on a night out. Entire weeks would stretch between feedback, and it was a complete waste of time. When we agreed that I wouldn’t continue (because I wouldn’t fly back to the UK without an offer), the recruiter explained that they’re a small company which is why their processes are poor and unorganised. I would argue that small companies need to focus even more on being organised. A few existing staff members said some worrying and old-fashioned things about data during the interviews that were huge red flags. They desperately need to turf out some of the old-time thinkers and get to grips with modern regulations & client demands.

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback. We take every candidate experience seriously and are always reviewing our hiring processes to ensure they are respectful of everyone’s time. However, it is important that we provide additional context, as several elements of your review do not reflect the facts, actual timeline, communications, or context during the process. To clarify, there were 3 interviews in total, not 5 that you have stated. During the first interview, you met with 2 of our Heads of Practice. The second interview you met with 3 members of the team you would be working with then finally on the third interview you met with our COO and Commercial Director. The job opportunity was for a Head of role, not a director role. You were never offered the role, so didn’t decline it. You informed us at the outset that you were travelling abroad and would not be available for an in-person meeting until you returned to the UK. Throughout the process we tried to be accommodating around your situation, so as not to exclude you from consideration. At the time you were moving between countries, including time working remotely from Asia and then North America in a contract role, which you were able to fit around your travels. However, that naturally created logistical challenges and extended feedback cycles. You originally advised that you would be returning to the UK in November. That date was later moved by you to mid-December. Then later you notified us that you would instead only be available in January 2026 after the project you were working on was extended. Our recruitment team continued to progress the process around your changing availability, and we communicated at each stage. The role involves working face-to-face with our customers, so a face-to-face final interview forms part of the process, to enable us to assess how you perform in that context. When it became clear that you expected an offer to be in place before you were willing to attend a final face-to-face meeting, something that is a standard requirement for senior roles in our business (and many others), which all of the other candidates were able to do, we mutually agreed not to continue. We never once referred to our process being slow and unorganised but instead highlighted this is a very important role for our business. Although you were unsuccessful in your application for the original role, we hoped to meet you when you returned to the UK to discuss other potential roles in the business that may have been of interest. We apologise if that was not communicated clearly enough to you. We respect your perspective, but it is important to note that the extended timeline was driven largely by your own travel schedule and shifting return dates, not by disorganisation on our part. We appreciate your interest in Agile. We wish you well in your future endeavours and hope that you find a role that can fit around your travels and priorities.
