Called with HR and they gave me a design exercise which takes 4 days. I made the design deck and sent it to hiring manager interview. But after 2 days, they just sent me not accepted and move with another candidate even without hiring manager call. I felt I wasted my time and effort because I didn't have any chance to present what I prepare.

After a long, needlessly drawn out interview process, I was essentially ghosted.
I sent 2 polite follow ups over the course of 3 weeks. Each time the recruiter replied with a vague promise to follow up soon, but never did.
My takeaway is that Airbnb does not respect the time and effort recruits put into their interview process.

I received a screening call and a take home design challenge. The challenge was fairly simple however I got ghosted after finishing the challenge. I wish they gave me a response given the effort I put in.

- Received an email from a recruiter and scheduled our first initial call.
- Had a call with the recruiter and a design manager.
- Had a 1:1 call with a design manager.
- Received a design exercise and was asked to complete in 1 week.
- Spent 15 hours working on the exercise and sent a presentation by email.
- Got a rejection email a week after I sent the presentation.
