Entrevista
Interview process was fine up until the end.
I applied, got asked for my availability, and met with someone.
They told me they were interested in going to the next step, so I did, and I was told that it required a take-home assessment.
Completed that and was given an email saying a combination of:
- You're moving on to the next step
- The next step is meeting our Product Lead
- This will be delayed by two weeks because the PL is on vacation currently.
- The next email we send will be to confirm your availability.
The next email was to randomly tell me that they weren't considering me anymore. I followed up with an email asking what happened and why the sudden change despite what was written in the previous email I received --- crickets.

I was given an assessment where I was required to produce a piece of content based on information they gave me.

I applied online.
First phone screen: questions on my past projects and people management.
The on-site interviews were a mix of behavioral and system design rounds (culture, engineering management, coding, and system design).
There was a final call with a member of the executive team, focused on past projects and my "why"s.
The entire process was straightforward and the questions were simple. There were plenty of red flags though:
* One of my interviewers told me I might be overqualified. Another interviewer said, "they (the exec team) haven't run the product to the ground, so that's a good thing I guess"!!
* The team I was being recruited for, changed, while the process was underway and I wasn't briefed/consulted.
* At the end of the final interview, the recruiter said they had heard great things and I will be informed in a few days. When I finally reached out, they said they had filled the role!
* At every point in the process, I was told that the team enjoyed the conversations. I had no idea that I needed to rush or that there were other candidates. Every other company proactively informed me through a phone call, thanking me for my time. Airbyte informing me via email, and only after I pinged them, was quite disrespectful of my time.

- Coding Interview - with Engineer - Technical
- Experience Interview - with Engineers - Nontechnical
- Culture - with Product - Nontechnical
- Hiring Manager Interview - with Engineering manager - Nontechnical
The assessment was in React and Typescript. Overall a really well designed interview, although I was nervous the didn't do very well.

In React and Typescript - given a project with a mocked api working - you are asked questions to show your data structure and JS knowledge.
