Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 dias. Fui entrevistado pela Alpha (TX) (Texas) em out. de 2025

Fully automated via Crossover. Screening via AI, Situational questions and experience sharing via AI, and then a task via Google Docs (last stage was human interview). I got to stage 3 and then stopped. There may have also been a CCAT-type test required, but I had already completed that from another interview process. It was inhumane, matching the spirit of the company.

They asked to describe my usage of AI and the metrics I use on a regular basis to evaluate AI tools and monitor value derived from them.

It was quite a process. It started with a basic fit check. I had an interview with an AI bot. It asked a lot of questions and shared notes with me based on what we talked about. After that, I had to do a cognitive aptitude test. Then a motivating students quiz. After that I was given 2 scenario type quizes on coaching. Finally, they asked me to upload a video of myself telling a story. In then end that invited me to schedule a 30 minute google meets interview with someone from Alpha. It was awkward because it looked like the guy was on the interview with his cell phone. His image was grainy, laggy, and he sounded muffled the entire time. He preceded to ask me the same questions the AI bot asked me. He did tell me afterwards that if I were to move to the next step I would have another interview. Then if I passed that round, I would be invited for a shadowday, where I would go to alpha and shadow another Lead Guide at the school.
He structured the interview into 3 parts for him.
1. Guide part - focus on the role of a guide with student interaction as a growth motivator.
2. Leadership element - focus on coaching and leading a team of people.
3. Contribution - Communication with parents and marketing
He then opened it up for me to ask questions.

What is an example of when you motivated a student to succeed in a goal?
The overall process started off fine basic fit and IQ test were smooth, though the IQ test itself was a bit unusual. I passed everything, but what really threw me off was the video creation requirement. As an educator focused on student growth and facilitation, being judged on my ability to make TikTok/Instagram-style videos felt out of place and honestly a little cringe. I’m more effective as a facilitator, not a social media content creator. After that, there was also a video retelling of a literary text. I was told I made it to the top 5% of applicants, but the video creation aspect is what ultimately killed my chances, especially since I perform much better in person than on camera. I’m fine with a rigorous screening process, but the video requirement just felt out of sync with the skills I bring to the table.
