I submitted my CV online through a jobs-board advert and then heard within a couple of days that I had to sit their online tests. These tests consisted of an automated video interview and a separate written exam in which I just had to answer three competency questions in 200 words each. Video Interview: I expect that the questions vary person-to-person but I have included the ones I received below. I had 15 seconds to read the question and prepare and then 60 seconds to answer it (at which point it records your answer). Couple of things to mention: - As daunting as it initially seemed, 60 seconds is not much time to fill and 15 seconds was actually plenty of time to compose myself and think of what to say, I think speaking eloquently and enthusiastically with personality is probably as important as the content of your answers at this stage. - I can't remember the exact wording of the final question but it was something to that effect, it was oddly-worded and quite convoluted in the actual test and is the one answer I didn't manage to answer without some hesitation simply because I hadn't really prepared for it coming up. - You can stop the recording before the end of the time limit if you have finished your answer with time to spare. - Speaking to your own webcam was definitely an unusual experience but practicing in a mirror definitely helped me get used to this a bit, I can also see how this stage can be a good warm-up for the Skype interview later in the process. Written Task: This is a separate link and so can be done at a different time to the video interview. It was just a page with three fairly standard competency questions and a box in which to give your answer (200 words max.). There is also no time-limit on this section.

After submitting your CV, you will receive an email with the links to a personality assessment and on-demand video interview. Once passed, it will followed by real-time online interview, then a job simulation of a day in the life of a graduate associate.
