After the resume drop, the next step was a video interview. Consisted of questions like: what are you passionate about? What are you excited about for senior year? What does AlphaSights do in your words? Very behavioral focused. The tricky part about the video aspect is that it's not a Skype interview where you can play off of energy. It's you recording answers essentially on a webcam platform. The question flashes in front of you, there's is a countdown, and then depending on the answer you have 30 or 60 seconds to answer the question to the best of your ability.

I went through 2 rounds of interviews before deciding myself not to move on after the second. The first one was a standard behavioral one, recorded before a screen (might've changed due to the pandemic). The second one consisted of two parts: the first a role play, where I was assigned a case and asked to look for industry experts to answer a question for a made-up client, the second a standard behavioral interview.
