It started out great. Then the day before I was told I was getting an offer, they fired the hiring mgr. they then asked me to fly to San Jose the next day to meet with the vp. It was clear within 5min. That being at the top of the previous mgr’s candidate list was not good for me. That was a waste of time and I received the thanks for applying but we are going in another direction email the next day. The interesting part is that it said I was a candidate in good standing in case there were ever other openings. This is where it gets odd. 3-4 months later, one of their recruiters reaches out to me as the position is open again. I checked to see if that vp was still there and sure enough, he was gone. Him being the only red flag that I had experienced at the time, I took the call. When asked if I was familiar with Alteryx, I let her know the basic story. She said she wanted to check something and would get back to me. I never heard from her again. I continued to be proactive in reaching out. After about 3 attempts, I got the form letter again. Now the question is...if I was a candidate in good standing, and the only issue that existed was this vp, who is no longer there, why the cold shoulder. If you have a reason, show some respect and be honest. Not sure what there could have really been but it really turned me off to the company. Hr and recruiting there are just as bad as the vp, who was probably fired for gross negligence.
