Interview via Zoom. They asked a lot about my prior jobs and how they would relate to selling AWS. It’s a hard industry to break into, without prior experience. They are looking for people that will be good Amazonians.

It began with an initial screening call to discuss my background and interest in the role, followed by one or more rounds of interviews with team members and stakeholders. Each stage was focused on assessing different skill sets—strategic thinking, communication, and technical expertise—through a mix of behavioral questions and role-specific scenarios. The team was communicative and respectful of time, and I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the company’s mission and culture at each step.

It really stuck with me because it required both strategic thinking and practical execution. I appreciated that it wasn’t just about metrics, but also understanding the local context, user behavior, and how to adapt the go-to-market approach accordingly.
