      Entrevista

      I would like to share my recent interview experience with Amergis to provide insight for others considering opportunities there. The process began smoothly with a conversation with the corporate recruiter, followed by an onsite interview with two colleagues. While the format was somewhat unconventional — both interviewers asked questions simultaneously from a prepared packet — the discussion itself was professional and straightforward. However, the subsequent stages raised serious concerns regarding the company’s professionalism and internal communication. I was scheduled for a follow-up interview with the DBO, which was postponed the day prior. When the rescheduled remote interview arrived, the DBO failed to attend. I waited in the virtual lobby for 18 minutes before reaching out to the recruiter, who promptly apologized and arranged yet another meeting. During the final interview, the DBO joined without an introduction and began the conversation abruptly. Within minutes, it became apparent she was distracted and engaged in other tasks, which she admitted involved payroll. The interview lasted only 14 minutes and lacked depth or engagement, giving the impression that a decision had already been made. This experience was disappointing. While the initial team members represented the company well, the conduct and lack of professionalism demonstrated by leadership during the final interview reflected poorly on the organization's culture. I believe candidates deserve a process that values their time and reflects the standards expected within the workplace. Even if I received an offer, I would have not accepted because of these reasons.

      I recently engaged with this company but chose to withdraw from the process due to repeated issues with professionalism and coordination. The individuals I interacted with demonstrated a clear lack of internal communication, often failing to stay aligned on basic details and expectations. A scheduled phone call had to be rescheduled due to an error on their part. However, even for the rescheduled conversation, they were 35 minutes late, which was unprofessional and showed a lack of respect for my time. Their initial outreach emphasized the importance of responding quickly to secure a spot yet that same urgency and consideration was not reflected in their own communication or follow-through. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend engaging with this company, as the process was marked by disorganization and a lack of basic professionalism. If this experience is representative of how the Atlanta, GA office operates, then there are serious concerns around internal communication, professionalism, and basic respect for candidates' time. Additionally, when your outreach emphasizes urgency ("respond quickly"), it's critical that your team matches that energy with timely, organized, and respectful communication. Otherwise, it comes off as disingenuous and disorganized. I strongly recommend investing in training around coordination, time management, and candidate experience.

      I was reached out to by a recruiter from the company about a Recruiter Trainee role available in Los Angeles. The first step was a phone call and the second step was a formal interview. During both steps, I was transparent that I am currently out of state but am looking to move to Los Angeles and am very interested in pursuing the role. The third step in the process is a "pit sit" which they told me I had to be onsite for with a potential final interview. They invited me for the "pit sit". I asked if Amergis covers travel expenses and they said they didn't, but I was interested in the role so I was okay with traveling to complete this next step. The day of the pit sit comes around and I come into the office and am immediately put into an interview room. Since I knew there could be a possible interview that day, I assumed that that was occurring. I did the interview and thought it went well and was told that the next steps were the pit sit. I told them that that was what I originally traveled and came in for and they said that they could accommodate to do something virtual for me since that was their mistake. I let my talent acquisition specialist I had been in contact with know what happened and she said she would let me know what the next steps are. The following day, I got a rejection email. I am very disappointed with how this was handled. It was very unprofessional to even suggest accommodating a virtual pit sit and not follow through, especially since that was what I was supposed to do in the first place. If you are applying from outside your local area, proceed with caution, as they may not respect the effort, time, and money you put in.

      Entrevista

      It is a 4 step interview process, you will also do a "pit sit" where the fellow recruiters will interview you and you shadow them. First interview is over the phone with a talent recruiter. Takes about 4-5 weeks in total. Make sure you prepare in advance about the company's mission, offerings, and KNOW the job description. They want to make sure you know the job requirements before moving forward.
