Disorganized Process and Questionable Use of Candidate Time The hiring process was disorganized and left me with serious concerns about how candidates are treated. There was no initial screening, I was sent straight to a first-round interview - which consisted of 2 technical questions and a lot of casual, personal conversation. The interview was friendly and pleasant. After that, I was ghosted again for three weeks, then unexpectedly sent an extensive pre-employment project to complete in five days. The assignment involved building three sessions that could be used at their next conference, conducting REAL outreach to industry professionals (including cold-emailing and cold-calling potential and past speakers), and recording a video pitch for their sales team. This was a significant amount of work, and the scope felt inappropriate for an unpaid task, especially without clear assurance of next steps. I asked several times for a timeline or at least some guidance on the next steps and how the hiring process was, but my emails were ignored every single time. After submitting the project, I received no feedback and was again ghosted for two months until they moved on with "other candidates". In total, the process lasted over three months, with no transparency on their end. It felt as though they were using candidates to crowdsource ideas without any serious intention to hire. I would caution others to be mindful of how much time and energy they invest here.

Video interview with HR, then hiring manager and finally with either CMO or Head of Marketing. No task/project asked of you, just go through your experience and how you work with other teams.
