They had me take a numerical reasoning assessment before being approved for an interview. Upon completion of the assessment I was informed that the role I had applied for was already filled and instead scheduled me to interview for a QA Automation Engineer role. The interview was conducted via Zoom but I had to leave after initially joining the call because they were using the same link to hold a separate meeting that hadn't finished. Once I rejoined I was able to begin the interview with 3 individuals. There was little introduction made before being asked to tell them about myself. After I admittedly fumbled through my introduction of myself I was asked if I knew much about the company or the CEO. When I indicated that I didn't know much the subject was immediately dropped, even though with any interview I've had with any other company, the interviewer takes the opportunity to describe the company a little, so the fact that the subject was dropped made this feel like I was being tested on whether I had researched about the company and it's founder. Finally, we got to some semi-relevant questions when I was asked what the top 3 things I would want from a job offer. I indicated that, as a father of two small children, I value a good work/life balance over everything. My answer to this changed the attitude of the whole interview as the lead interviewer seemed to take offense that I would want to spend time with my family. The other two interviewers tried to interject with skills based questions, I think I answered two programming questions throughout the entirety of the interview, but the lead interviewer kept bringing things back to me wanting a good work/life balance and how it was unreasonable of me. I pretty much knew the interview was over at this point but still took the opportunity to ask a couple of questions about the culture of the company and what a day in the life of this position looks like, the latter of which was never properly answered. After disconnecting from the Zoom call I pretty much knew that I hadn't gotten the job and was pretty sure I didn't want it at that point anyway. Sure enough, five minutes later I received an email saying that the company had decided to move forward with other candidates. Overall, a giant waste of everyone's time.

It was easy, the interviewers were very nice and punctual. I recieved a call informing of their interest to interview me, and we schuduled a time on that call. From there, I was sent emails with the date and time, including who was interviewing me. The questions were all general, no technical questions. They placed a heavy importance on how my goals would align with the company goals. Heavy research of the company is 100% necessary for a successful interview.

Mostly behavioral to see if you’re a culture fit. Depending on who’s interviewing you, they can be typical behavioral interview questions or just chatting in general. I think before this there was an assignment you have to take which was difficult for many people, but it doesn’t disqualify you. If you did well you will most likely be put on the risk team.
