After submitting an application online I was contacted by a HR assistant to schedule an interview and to complete an online administrative assessment. I met with a recruiter for an initial interview. The questions were more behavioral in nature. She asked what I knew specifically about the organization. I was scheduled for a second interview a couple days later with both the Vice President and the Director of the department. These questions were related specifically to job function and asked to me draw on previous employment experiences.

I had a total of 3 interviews. Everyone I met with and my HR recruiter was extremely friendly and helpful. They really make you feel at home the minute you start talking with employees.

The digital interview and phone interview are scheduled first. If the phone interview is successful, the applicant moves on to the in-person interview with the hiring manager. The phone interview serves as a screening method to identify those who would most likely be hired.

The interview process is very thorough but in a great way! It's obvious that the American Heart Association takes pride in who they hire for each and every position.
