I applied online through heart.org and received an email from a regional HR specialist that they wanted to do a phone interview. We agreed on the time and I was called directly. The interview was basic, consisting of the position, salary and benefits, and who I would report to. I was asked about fundraising experience and how my most recent position tied into their needs. The recruiter and I didn't click, mostly because it was clear there were children in the background causing distractions. I found this to be very unprofessional and ultimately a disservice to my future manager and me as it was obvious I didn't have full attention. Despite this, I was very interested in the position, sent my thank you for the interview and followed up the next week but have not heard anything. Easy interview, less than ideal circumstances.
