The recruiter claimed it was a one on one interview. Claimed the company name was Torchmark and that you did not need a license. I stated I was not interested in selling insurance, so I was told the position was for manager trainee. Upon arrival, I was taken to a small private office thinking that was the person I was interviewing with. Then I was taken to a classroom with 12 other people and a huge sales presentation on how to spend your own money on their training and for a license. So you basically have to pay to work there and its commission only. Nothing the recruiter told me was true. And of course you get the call back for passing the second interview and going to the final interview because you were hand selected. If the job was as easy as they claim, then everybody in my area would be a millionaire. Very misleading & unethical recruitment tactics. Beware.

You are given a 5 page personality, psychological profile questionnaire. You do not receive one on one time to ask questions. Everyone is offered the position. Because you do not get paid, you pay them to work there.

The company is a complete joke. I walked into the office to loud music playing. The interviewer had two things on his desk, a vape and a computer. He constantly insulted my resume and critiqued things that as little as formatting saying “it wasn’t his style so he didn’t like it”. He talked down to me the entire interview saying I was lucky to even be there and that my experiences were bad and I made bad decisions (I had offers already but decided to take this interview to see what was offered). He acted like only the most prestigious candidates would make it to the next round and still criticized me the entire time. He said they make on average $91,000 the first year which told me it was a scam right away. At the end he offered for me to move on to the next round after all his down talk. He acted like I was lucky and he was giving me a pass. The second round “for only the most prestigious” was within 20 minutes of my interview telling me that they pretty much allow anyone to move on. I had walked out of there without going back for the second round because it was a scam for an insurance sales job labeled as manager. He also refused to tell me any information about the job or the company when I asked if it was just a sales role. Do not waste your time here, it is a scam and extremely unprofessional.
