Entrevista
I discovered AIR at a job fair, and researched online. They appeared to have received a large new government contract and were bulking up their IT group substantially, including senior management, front line managers, and technical staff. The existing IT group was not so large. The recruiter at the job fair seemed very positive I would be considered, but I did not get a call back within a week so I applied online. I received a phone interview with their recruiter a few days after that. In this case, the recruiter did both a 'phone screen' and an initial interview in the same hour... in effect I had to get through some screening questions in order to keep going. For this job, she really stressed the commute that I would have to make... I think that reflects that the operations jobs probably require some server rebooting etc and they wanted someone who was able to effectively supervise overnight. The technical questions were not difficult. I didn't get the position. I wrote a thank you a month later and their HR politely responded.
