After introductions, the first question and conversation piece was in reference to data science, but the job posting stated nothing about it as a requirement. After I couldn't answer the first question, the next was about SQL queries and finding duplicates. I correctly and quickly responded with two answers but was a bit shaken from the data science sideswipe so I couldn't get a third one out fast enough. At this point, there was a sigh, a clear sign the lead interviewer had already made up her mind. Then she quickly had a change of mind, and decided to give it another shot by asking me how familiar I was with Informix software. Again, not on the position description, but I assume they were using data analysis software of some form. I replied that I was not familiar with it, but am a quick study and can promptly jump into it. The reply was and I quote, "Oh I dunno if you can learn it. It's pretty difficult to grasp."
Nice eh.
