I had one call with an external recruiter for this role. It was scheduled for 30 minutes; however, it only lasted about 8. Within the first minute, the recruiter said, "I haven't heard of the last three companies on your resume." I asked the recruiter if they would like a quick elevator pitch for each company to give context, but they denied and said that it wasn't the background they were looking for. The recruiter then spent 5 minutes describing their ideal candidate and asked me if I had any B2B SaaS experience. I said yes and then tried to explain my experience; however, the recruiter interrupted me by saying, "That doesn't translate to this company." At this point, I decided to stop talking and there was silence on the phone. The recruiter filled the silence with, "I'll forward your experience with the hiring manager to see if they are interested and I will follow up within a few days." It's been over a month and I never heard back from the recruiter. I tried reaching out to the hiring manager directly, but never heard back.
