Recruiter call going over basic qualifications for the position followed by a technical interview going over sorting algorithms (merge sort, quicksort), what a deadlock is, a linked list question (merge two lists together) followed by a tree question.

30 minute discussion with HR recruiter to get general sense of interests and then a 1 hour phone interview that discussed coursework and prior coding experience and experience with software. Discussed adjacent technical skills that would be needed for the job.
