i applied online, got a call the next day or so asking me if i could come in for an interview. (fair warning you should suspect something is wrong with the company if they don't do phone screenings from what i've seen) Anyways I went up to new york for the interview (very nice people, casual atmosphere) and spoke with the person who was going to be the supervisor. He gave me an offer but I declined after much thought. The process would have taken less than a week but I lived out of state and there were issues with scheduling.
