The HR communication felt unprofessional. Different emails were often sent outside the same thread, and some messages even arrived without a subject line. I received an invitation for the on-site interview stating that someone would follow up with more details shortly, but I never received any further information until I followed up, and was then told that no further information would be provided.
There also seemed to be poor communication within the company too. I was initially told by the hiring manager that I should prepare a presentation for the on-site interview. Later, when I confirmed with HR, I was told it was not needed. However, during the on-site interview, a person mentioned he was expecting a presentation.
During the technical interview, the style was a bit informal. The director wore a baseball cap throughout the session without any explanation, which stood out in a professional setting.
While the company has a strong focus on antibodies, the director did not seem to be knowledgeable in this area. When I referenced figures such as Greg Winter or Jim Wells, he did not seem to recognize either of them, which was surprising given their influence in antibody research.
