I applied for the job on Indeed and heard back almost immediately. I set up an interview time the next day. When I walked into the office it looked like they had been there a week. I was instructed to fill out a form and sat in a waiting room with a big TV and lots of editions of the same marketing magazine. When I went into the office for the interview, I noticed there was no computer or supplies on the desk, it was empty which I thought was strange. I also realized that despite claiming to have 20 or so employees, the office could have only had two rooms for people to work. After the interviewer asked me to tell him about myself, he went on a long, fast rant about "marketing" quoting buzzwords and asking me rhetorical questions and then moving on before hearing the answer. He informed me that there would be a second panel interview in which I could ask my own questions and then sent me on my way. The whole thing took less than 15 minutes. When I got home I read some reviews of the company and found out they basically hire every applicant for the same position regardless of job title, which is to sell phones for Xfinity/Comcast in low-income areas. There's no salary, only commission and work weeks can be 50-80 hours long. People who had accepted positions said there was no room for upward movement and after a couple years the office will often close and move somewhere else (My interviewer actually told me his goals for the next two years were to move across the country). They hire pretty much everyone who interviews and never disclose details about the low pay and actual workday tasks beforehand because they are not as advertised. Sure enough, later that day I got a call back for the second interview, which I declined. I feel anxious and upset by this scam and I hope this review will prevent you from making the same mistakes.
