Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela AppThis (Denver, CO) em jun. de 2016
Entrevista
The interview process was fairly easy since it was a couple of phone screens but the hiring manager decided to pass because of a lack of Scala experience even though he and the recruiter both said it would not be an issue.
I was disappointed at the lack of female representation of software engineers at AppThis by doing some online research but I thought I would give AppThis the benefit of the doubt. I was hoping they would test me on my technical knowledge (e.g. algorithms, coding tests) to prove I can do the job but I didn't even get the chance to prove that my IT skills were just as good as any male engineer.
Candidatei-me pessoalmente. O processo levou 2 meses. Fui entrevistado pela AppThis (Denver, CO) em nov. de 2017
Entrevista
I was recruited by an employee and Mike Crabtree (CTO) from a presentation. After the initial introduction, I emailed Mike and we set up a time for me to come into the office.
In the office, I met various people on different teams. Talked with some people of similar backgrounds and asked about their experience.
Thereafter, Mike and I went into a conference room where we discussed the in's and out's of the business. We did a technical whiteboarding session.
It was described to me that if I was interested in a formal interview, to please contact him via email and he will set up a time for me to come in and meet with the team directly and go over my resume. Over the course of the next month, I emailed Mike 4 times with no response. Not even a "I'm sorry, we've decided to move forward with another candidate."
Unprofessional and childish.
