Was contacted by a recruiter and then had an interview with the hiring manager. For the third meeting, had 4 consecutive 30-minute meetings in person. Was tired and hungry by the end of it but if that’s what is necessary then so be it. Had to give a presentation to a couple of team members. Really liked the team and would be open to the opportunity in the future, but they went with a candidate with a more diverse background. Spoke candidly with the person who worked this role previously and really liked them and am sure I would have enjoyed role. He had generally good things to say about the company, as well.

I had a very brief phone call, followed by a two and a half hour in person interview where almost everyone asked obscure questions, questions about my political beliefs, or insisted I wasn't technical enough to work at Appian. I was then recommended for a different role by the recruiter and put through the same process. Again, same sort of unrealistic logic questions, questions about my political beliefs by almost every interviewer, and conversations about how I was not technical enough for the role. I clearly didn't fit their values or view of a qualified candidate, not sure why they wasted everyone's time in the first place...
