Definitely a long process, but it comes with a purpose and is equally helpful to you as it is to Appirio. I had an initial phone screening with a recruiter, two phone interviews with other consultants, and finally an on-site interview with four employees that included a mix of managers and consultants. Every person you talk to wants to make sure your questions are answered and you get a good feel for the company. You can tell Appirio understands that it's a two-way street in terms of finding the right fit. It's an endurance test for sure, so prepare yourself accordingly. Worth it in the long run.
