It was a Linkedin Email application to the concerned person, followed by some emails, then face to face during a conference. The 1:1 interview involved many questions including actual cost projections. Overall, the process was smooth and eventually I got multiple work orders from the company after finishing the first assignment. All contact was via email and phone after first 1:1 meeting.
