I recently interviewed with this company, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing due to poor communication and lack of professionalism. The process started with an HR screening where we discussed my background, experience, and cultural fit. It was a standard and pleasant conversation. The second round was with the Head of Engineering. The interview was rescheduled on short notice, and I finally got a slot two weeks later. Surprisingly, no technical or behavioral questions were asked, just brief introductions from both sides. I was told that the next step would be a case study, followed by a technical round and then an offer if all went well. Scheduling the case study presentation took another two weeks. I prepared thoroughly and presented it, receiving positive feedback. I was then sent a list of topics to prepare for the next round, the technical interview. Once again, the available slot was two weeks away. On the day of the technical interview, I was informed last minute that it had to be rescheduled due to a calendar conflict. I understood and rescheduled it for another two weeks later. I informed the HR and waited for the Head of Engineering to confirm the meeting invite. When there was no response, I followed up. A few days later, I saw the invite was declined without any communication. I selected yet another slot and requested the HR to confirm it. Shortly after, I received an email saying the position had been filled. Overall, the interview process felt extremely unorganized, with long gaps between stages, last-minute cancellations, and a lack of basic communication. After investing two months, preparation, and multiple follow-ups, being dropped without proper notice was disappointing and unprofessional.
