Unprofessional experience overall. HR Specialist reached out and scheduled a Zoom interview only to not show up. Sent an email later giving an excuse, and offered to reschedule. After the reschedule the interview was conducted but it was extremely casual. At the end of the interview the specialist stated I would be receiving a second interview soon, but promptly after the interview ended an email was sent stating I was no longer under consideration. It says a lot about a company that hires someone that either forgets the interview they scheduled or just doesn't show up. It also furthermore states how unprofessional they are to lie about your interview process and not be transparent. Regardless if I was still a candidate or you chose someone else, don't state I would be moving on if you meant otherwise.

There was an initial call with the recruiter from Arctic. She was very thorough, professional, and kind. She spent time to ensure I would be a good fit, and asked excellent questions. I was impressed with her technical knowledge and the quality of her questions. Next was an interview with my manager to be and one other person from the team. They were very kind and put me at ease, so that it was more of a conversation than a "grilling." They asked questions to ensure that I knew what I had claimed I knew on my resume, but it wasn't like some interviews I've had that seemed more like an inquisition. Super nice people, very professional, and great questions asked. The final round was with the CIO and one other person. Again, very professional, kind, respectful, and thorough. I left each interview thinking "wow, I'd really like to work with those folks." At each stage they took time to explain the position, the company, the environment, their culture, and allowed a lot of time for me to ask questions. They all seemed like they would be great people to work with. I was offered the position, and I initially accepted, but a much better offer from another company came along that I just couldn't turn down. Please don't mistake this to mean that Arctic didn't offer a fair salary; they did. The position I ended up taking was for an Architect role that is in a higher pay bracket. The salary Arctic offered was excellent for the cloud engineer position.
